No. I would have hated it. Gary was a very unhappy person. I don't get any pleasure in watching people humiliate themselves like that. That's one of the reasons that I hate reality tv.

I woudent say unhappy person he was just mad because he could never make the same money he had while he was on DS, he also had a dark side to him people never knew about in real life, he had a passion for being a shooter.

I think the problem with Coleman was that he wanted to get away from Hollywood, and Arnold Jackson, but was unprepared for the outside World and did not have any other skills besides being an entertainer/child act. His adoptive "parents" through theft and bad investments stole his money, and that was partly his tragedy.

I can however, place some blame on Gary himself. He could have went to college and got into another field. Child actors such as Missy Gold, Danica McKellar, Maliam Blylick (the girl who played Blossom whose name I just butchered) and many others had made the transition from Hollywood to private life.

Gary was stuck as this middle aged man, typecasted as a child, still looked like a child due to his height, and was in a relationship with probably a halfwit, gold digging girl nearly half his age prodding Gary to do D-List work like crappy straight to video films and Gary hated it all. He was just stuck.

Like I said, Gary should have went to a University out of school and figured what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. I can't help thinking that he would have made a great lawyer, clergyman, or even found another branch of Hollywood that might have interested him like being a manager or a set director or a cameraman. I dont know.

Lastly, I think that Gary wanted to be by himself and not involve himself with too many other people and it was difficult for him to allow others to be close to him, since a lot of people claimed to love him took advantage of him. And unfortunately, the last person he trusted and loved with his life, his ex-wife Shannon Price probably killed him, and was low class enough to have her photo taken with Gary's near lifeless body in the hospital, and had the audacity to sell the picture for big bucks.

Lots of BS, and I hope Gary is in a better place.

Yong Fan, you mentioned a lot things that could have helped Gary. I wonder if he had money as a 20 year old. I admire young stars who can do have a new life after show business. I remember the gal who played Margaret on Dennis the Menace. Her acting career dried up and she went to school to become a doctor and that was 45+ years ago.

I would have liked to see an everyday life of Gary Coleman and his creepy looking wife shannon who was a foot taller than he was, it would have been entertaining to see them argue over random stuff for 30 minutes each episode.
