There is something I'm REALLY REALLY wanting but there is no buy it now option, and the bidding started at $25.00, and so far it has ONE bid and it says if I want to bid I must make a bid of $26.00 or more. Does this mean the bidder has only put a bid up to $25.99 (of 99 cents) or for all I know could they have bid $500.00?

I'm just kinda confused about it, but I HOPE I get this!!! I will tell what it is later, I don't want to ruin anything, I may be agnostic but I am supersticious about some things hehe

Proxy bidding works automatically through the Ebay system. The first bidder placed a proxy bid of at least $25.00. You have to bid at least $26.00 to see if you can outbid them. Each time you place a bid, the bid amount from the first bidder continues to automatically increase until you or someone else outbids them. If you really want the item bad enough then I suggest that you wait till the last minute and then enter the most you're willing to pay. At that point 2 things can happen, you'll either get it or you'll make them pay more for it than they wanted to.

Yeah that's what I'm going to do, so far I've not lost yet doing that.

How close to ending time do you suggest maknig the bid? I usually do it at like 20 seconds left.

20 seconds is too soon, you can easily be outbid several times during that time. I usually wait until there's about 10 seconds or less and then hit the place bid button. The only disadvantage with waiting that long is that you won't have another chance to bid again so it's best to enter the most you're willing to pay and hope for the best.

This item that you want, have you looked to see if another seller is offering it?

Oh YES!! another seller was offering it for like 700$ and I'm HOPING to get it for under 100$, it's something you don't see much anymore I will say that, and I will pst a pic of it when I get it. IF I do lol

But the only thing I'm afraid of about waiting TOO close to time of the end is, I have a friend who told me he waited until like 5 seconds and made a bid BUT the computer had a "brain fart" and it froze up for a a few seconds and took it a while to confirm the bid and he LOST! I HOPE that doesn't happen to me.
