I agree!! Sanford was funnier , but as a pre-teen girl, Chico (Freddy) was so darn cute. I crushed on him, so at the time I liked Chico and the man better, but now thinking back Sanford and son was the better show.

I watched both shows but was SERIOUSLY DEDICATED TO THE ONE WITH FRANCISCO RODRIGUEZ!! Sanford was okay if you wanted to watch a bunch of cranky old people.

Yes Chico was a hotty! I also liked Tony Orlando. Popular at the same time and both Latino with mustaches ! They were really good friends and I read that Tony was really broken up when Freddy passed away . That was really shocking and sad! :(

You should read Halfway to Paradise, it's Tony Orlando's autobiography and he devoted 2 chapters to Freddie. Yes, Tony was broken up about Freddie's death, but the book tells to what degree.
