Watched Beaver's Jacket. June's hair looks nice. I miss Larry...none of the kids deliver a line as good as Larry. Wally had a good line. It's got everything but relish.

Just watched Beaver Gets Adopted not one of my favorite episodes but I love it for Larry talking about The Bible stories. This was one of the few times he didn't cause Beaver trouble.

In The Tooth I love when Fred describes how when Violet broke her leg the doctor was turning it and the bones were grinding...Ward tells him to please stop...Fred asks if the boy is a bit skittish...Ward says no I am.

The Shave - where Wally wants to start shaving even those he has nothing to shave yet.

Someone made me think of this post....they said there were very few episodes when Larry didn't cause trouble. Can you name a few episodes when Gilbert not only didn't get Beaver into trouble but wanted to do the right thing?

I'll start he didn't cause trouble in Mistaken Identity cuz he told Richard it said no trespassing and never did throw a rock.

Yes. I remember when June knew what things were all about too! An episode where Wally lends a girl his letterman's sweater because she was cold and never returns it. And June overhears her at the drugstore soda counter (wish they still had those these days. I loved the lunch counter at Woolworth's) telling the other girls she is Wally's girlfriend. June knew what that girl was all about, and why she didn't give Wally's sweater back, and Wally was oblivious!!! :lol:

Yeah Ward really tried to get the boys intrested into the great outdoors the way he enjoyed it as a kid. He sadly realized that Beaver and Wally were growing up in a more modern age, and movies and comics had a more intrest than camping.

I think that's the one from the last season where Eddie's girlfriend is secretly making a sweater for him and has Wally over at her house to fit it. Eddie thinks they're having a clandestine "affair" so he and Lumpy park outside to spy on them. That's where Lumpy says "Zoom zoom azooma. etc." as he's playing with the steering wheel.

I think he just kind of worked out that way, but Gilbert does appear in some of the same episodes as Larry. But yeah, once Larry left, Gilbert got the full time friend gig.

Larry was my favorite of all of Beaver's friends, I love his interactions with his mom.

That's right. Whitey was in Season one in Beaver's Crush and one of the last episodes Beaver Sees America. He even adopted his real name, Hubert.

I liked Larry the best too he was so natural even talking to parents. The exact opposite of Eddie. One of my favorite Larry/Eddie scenes is from Beaver's Library Book when he asks "Larry where ya been? out scaring babies? Something like that. I think he's only in two scenes with Eddie. Cleaning Up Beaver too.

My favorite Larry episode is Larry's Club- when Larry show's up at the Cleaver house with the paper bag on his head, and the initiation down in his basement. Classic stuff.

I like when Larry ran away from home to the Cleavers and was hiding out in the boys bathroom.

I liked Whitey too, he was funny. He did last the whole shows run, his real life brother Tooey was only in one or two seasons right? It was cool how Tiger Fafara and Stanley Fafara were both in the show in the early seasons .

Last LITB ep I saw was Beavers report card, when Eddie changed Beaver's grade from D- to a B+!

Whitey definitely has some great moments, I love that mischievous grin he has.

The episode with Wally's AWFUL haircut is the 2nd to last LITB episode I watched. The last is the one where Wally is in charge of blind dates at the school dance and ends up having to go with ol' What's Her Name because nobody else would. It worked out alright in the end.

Last ep I watched was Richard throwing rocks and breaking a window at an old house and was caught by a cop. Richard told the cop his name was Theodore Cleaver and gave Beaver's address. The cops paid a visit to the Cleaver home and to make matters worse Ward was on the committee to start a new youth center in Mayfield. The cops thought Ward couldn't even keep his own son in line! Thank goodness when he saw Beaver at the house the cop said this isn't the boy who threw the rock! And Beaver was off the hook, but to realize his friend Richard was a jerk!! Or as Beaver would say, a creep, a rat or a fink!!! :D

Richard was like Whitey, he was Beaver's friend, but I don't think he was best friends like Larry or Gilbert. Gilbert hung around with Beaver more, and like Larry he spent the night at the Cleaver's house.

Another continuity error (sort 0f) in that season,
That was Wally goes Steady,Season 5, esp. 1) and his girl was
Evelyn Boothby played by Mary Mitchel , but they broke up, and she was dating someone else.

Then in Wally's Chauffeur, (season 5 esp. 12) , Wally took Evelyn Boothby Still Played by Mary Mitchel, and there was no mention or thought given to the
story in esp. 1.
The Dad was played by 2 different men that season.

Today's was the one where Beaver joined a football team coached by Wally and Eddie. He told Penny about their secret play. (which was crap anyway :lol:) Penny inadvertently blabbed to the opposing team. That led directly to the downfall of The Beav's squad.

I forget what season that was, 5th I think.
To me , with a few exceptions, I do not like season 5 and 6 as well as the first 4.
I just got done watching the one where they had to write about there Mothers before they were married.
That was a funny one where Beaver says his mother ran away from home to be a chorus girl (Thats where you dance in your bare feet)
And danced in Dives. And Also Beer Joints.
And met a gangster that put her in a big show, but he got arrested, but his mother did not.

Today was the one where Wally took driver's ed. That took me back. My jerk instructor called me "the single worst driver I've ever had." He used to make "crash" sounds when I drove through parking spots in empty parking lots. He also made me come in for extra driving time. But here we are 18 years later and I've only had one accident that wasn't my fault. Who's laughin' now, F. Waire?

Anyway, highlight had to be Eddie's short appearance. His mock sincerity gets me every time and the June & Ward eye rolling routine never gets old. And was that a wimpy mustache the Beav was sporting? Why, I do believe it was. Know-it-all Shirley was a really annoying backseat driver but she was also oh-so-cute. I'd have consoled the poor gal after she failed her test.

l saw "Beavers Prize" where he wins the bike.
It was funny when Larry was talking Beaver into going to the show, he says,
A gorilla escapes from the zoo and was "Driving" an airplane.
And I likes Larrys Mother saying "you know your father is out of town"

Eddie and lumpy haul it to the dump, but ditch the trash in a vacant lot.

Although I have commented I did not like season 5 and 6, as well as the others, I do like that one.

Wally's weekend job ( This was a good ep)

Wally gets a job at the ice cream parlor leaving a gaggle of girls swooning and Eddie and Lumpy feeling neglected. So to get back at him, Eddie and Lumpy concoct a plan of revenge that involves Mary Ellen Roger's slumber party.

Before that I watched Beavers cat problem ( I also liked this ep. The cat Bootsie was adorable, a really beautiful cat and Gilbert's dog was so cute)!

A strange cat appears at the Cleaver's door and Beaver takes it in and feeds it. However, when the owner is found, and the cat is returned, Beaver finds himself with a dilemma. The cat keeps coming back.
