Need help with 70's sitcom name!

I know there was a sitcom that was very short lived in 1972 or 1973 or 1974, that had a storyline around an Italian family with the last name Cavallo.
I think the show was set in New York and as I recall had some family dynamic type themes. It may have only lasted a few episodes (4-6) but I can't recall much else about it.
Help!

A search of the Internet Movie Database (http://us.imdb.com) for the character name of 'Cavallo' doesn't bring any results. If this was a primetime sitcom that lasted 4-6 episodes, I think it would probably be listed.

Do you have any more information? What network was it on? It was an American sitcom and not international, correct?
