One things I notice about this show is that it showed the impact Clinton and Bush had on middle class Americans. for example when the show started in the last months of Reagan Presidency(First Half of season 1) they had Jobs and paying bills, The Economy was starting dip and Inflation was beginning to rise. But by season 2 with with Bush 41 as Present(Middle of Season 2-Middle of season 5) the Family began to struggle by paying bills and finding Jobs. Inflation was high, Economy was failing, Unemployment was rising. They went from Jobs to jobs in a matter of months. During Season 4 The Bike shop and the Diner goes out of business, They are struggling to pay bills and they are afraid that they may lose their house. Then Clinton comes into the Office(Season 5-9) and the Economy start Booming again(It was at it highest during the 90s), Peoples are finding jobs as as the Unemployment start to drop dramatically, Inflation also and the Housing Market went up. The once Weak Middle Class becomes more stronger then ever and are now able to pay off their houses and were able to pay bills. This is showcase n season 5 and 6 With Roseanne and Jackie opening the lunchbox, Dan Get a Jon t the Lumber yard and later a construction job. Both doing well. Darlene goes of to Art school. The Connors are no longer struggling to pay bills and were not afraid of losing their house. Middle Class was surviving. Remember when Darlene turned down that 500 Dollars a week Job Offer in Season 8? Another example of Clinton Booming Economy and Improved Job Market.

Interesting how they showed the effects Bush and Clinton had on Middle Class Americans.

This is very interesting and it's worth further analysis. Never thought of analyze and compare the Conners' situation to the american families, even if this tv show was about that :/
