Crystal didn't have a working husband either and she had a young son to support which puts her in a tougher position than Jackie. I think Crystal had it the toughest out of all of them. Vonda's husband worked, too. So Roseanne and Vonda didn't have too much to worry about. TVFactFan 02-23-2013, 03:43 PM Jakcie quit (Along with Crystal and Their other friends) in support of Roseanne. I know but your situation has to allow it-LOL Like back in 2005 I wanted to quit so bad but knew I could not because I still had to pay rent and had no one helping me TVFactFan 02-23-2013, 03:44 PM Jackie was all on her own with no working husband. Yeah I forgot all about Crystal. lol mets82 02-23-2013, 11:14 PM I think it was because the new guy in charge was a jerk and lets face it, Roseanne goes, how great would it be for Jackie and Company to stay there? He would treat them as bad as he treated Roseanne. He would treat them as bad as he treated Roseanne. All Roseanne had to do was change her attitude. She was the main reason for how the boss was acting. I have never been disrespectful to a boss in my life. Hughsgirl 02-25-2013, 04:00 PM I agree - she just didn't want to modify her crappy behavior and I feel she quit because she couldn't get away with goofing off as she did at that restaurant in the mall. Speaking as a supervisor, I would have NEVER put up with her garbage and would have gotten rid of her. Back then it was easier to get rid of lazy workers when now you have to go through all kinds of crap because the law seems to be on the side of lazy and self-entitled moochers. Roseanne was a very lazy, disrespectful employee. If she just would have lost her crappy attitude when she was working at Wellman's, that supervisor Mr. Faber would have lightened up. He was the boss, so Roseanne should have been much more respectful to him. It seemed like she was looking for any excuse to quit. Mind you their supervisor, Booker, grew up to be George Clooney, see what Jackie missed out on! In the last season, Roseanne got the last laugh, when the owner of the factory came with hat-in-hand for money, after Roseanne won the lotto. Having you do things that isn't in your job description, talking down to you in front of your co-workers, saying that they're going to do one thing and turn around and do another and continuously singling you out, that is what I call picking on and making your work life hell. I'm the type of person who does not kiss butt, I don't care who you are but I'm respectful of others. I cannot work in a place where it alters my attitude to the point where it's affecting my home life. It's not about pride it's about keeping myself out of jail because I've hit my boss LOL. She shrieked like an angry bird being strangled! She was always NAGGING me to do heavy lifting for her in her office. I hated being alone with that nasty woman. And while I was stuck in her office, she would be gossiping with one of the other shrew ladies in the office about their home décor. I swear, those bitches never did any work. Just nag, nag, NAG! Corkys-Place 03-13-2013, 02:49 AM I haven't seen the above mentioned Episode for years so I'm probably wrong here. I thought the reason Roseanne quit her job at Wellman was because the supervisor was setting out completely unrealistic quotas? Let's face it, the "job" she had afterwards wouldn't have done much for the self esteem - selling junk over the telephone. Then there was that whole "hired and fired" in a matter of minutes incident at the company with that Muriel bitch. And some of the other people who quit Wellman did better too. SylvieConner 03-24-2013, 07:36 PM I think Jackie quit the job because she was just as sick of the new supervisor as Roseanne was. I agree with the above poster. Jackie did end up better than Roseanne for awhile. As I recall, Rosy worked at telephone solicitation, then later tried to find another job, only to be turned down because she had no knowledge of computers, that sucks. :( You would think Crystal would have offered Roseanne a job. :( I don't what's happened to the other people at Wellman yet. I'm still on season 2. I'm watching the Halloween episode. :) Also, has anyone noticed that after the first season, Booker completley vanishes? I liked him. :/It's a shame if he's not in any more, he would have made an excellent addition. (Also, to the above poster. Awesome! another Virginian! :) ) liane60 12-04-2016, 04:45 PM Jakcie quit (Along with Crystal and Their other friends) in support of Roseanne. They all quit because of their stupid boss who kept getting on their nerves,. Dale Key 12-22-2016, 03:37 PM I wonder if people in this thread pay attention when watching reruns. Nobody could do 8,000 units. It was impossible. Roseanne did her best to cooperate with Faber to get him to lower the quotas. He bullied her for a few days while she put up with it and then raised them back up. She wasn't lazy at the factory she was only sitting during her lunch breaks. As for the original question, Jackie was good with her money and always had savings to dip into. Roseanne still needed a job to help support her family, it was just impossible to keep the one she had. vacater 12-22-2016, 09:07 PM yeah, Roseanne wasn't lazy, she was probably the quickest. just like when she worked at the fast food place and was told she had to work weekends when it was busy because she was the fastest employee king of comedy 12-23-2016, 12:13 AM She did her the job the best she can. |
