did the Shady Rest have? All the girls and Kate and Joe had their own rooms. Then when Steve came he had his own room. Once when Steve's old Air Force buddy came, he had his own room I think. That didn't leave many rooms for any guests and the hotel didn't look that big, especially with one floor for rooms.

In the episode 'The curse of Chester W Farnsworth' Kate say's they have a full house booked, later she say's they are expecting six salesmen, that would mean there is a total of eleven rooms.

I've noticed watching the show, that the Shady Rest doesn't have many customers. Kate and the girls are seen going over the books but haven't see that many guests. Uncle Joes guests of the tubby gals ( He told them Kates place was a reducing salon) who came were the last that stayed a bit of time. Never seen anyone coming in or out. Business must be poor. What few times I see meals being served, it sure looks like a nice place to stay.

The Shady Rest seems more like a bed and breakfast or a boarding house than it does a hotel. Maybe a residential hotel for long term stay. Never seemed like a hotel for one or two nights to me. I love the Shady Rest, I'd love to stay there, when I was a little girl I wished I could live there. LOL!! I wanted to be a fourth Bradley sister.

I know it is just a TV show, I love the show, so things don't have to make sense , but all the traveling salesmen. Why would they be out there in Hooterville in the middle of nowhere? What companies would they be selling to there?

I wished they had more episodes about the guests. Invisible Mr Dobbs was one episode where they had a unusual guest. Most of the time it was about the girls, Uncle Joe, or later eps Steve and Betty Jo.
