what is your least favorite episode?

I don't think there were any bad episodes of Seinfeld, but I guess my least favorite is the Puerto Rican Day Parade episode. The traffic scenes were really annoying.

Least favorite would be Jerry and Elaine getting back together in "the deal"

2. The Betrayal

As much as I didn't like Susan, I hated the episode killing her off with the toxic envelope glue. I didn't find it funny at all, just tasteless. There had to be a better way to write her off the show.

Yes, they were!!! Who could forget Frank Costanza's collection of TV Guides? (Back when that magazine was worth collecting, that is.) The "bro"? The "mansierre"? You were always guaranteed a laugh whenever Frank and Estelle were in an episode. :D

I can't particularly pinpoint any single episode here,but I DO think that many of the episodes from the final year lacked a certain "crispness" that was nearly OVERabundant perviously.The same thing happened to M*A*S*H* and "All In The Family".

The Doll Episode in Season 7.

The pilot episode was rather weak. Kramer was Kressler, and Elaine was no where to be seen. :eek:

The Pilot is the only show I don't really care for, it was super slow.

"The Puerto Rican Day" was the next-to-last episode before the finale.

After its original broadcast, NBC did not rebroadcast it, and the ep was not included in the original syndication package.

The reason for the controversy was because in one scene, Kramer accidentally set fire to a Puerto Rican flag and then stomped on the flag to put the fire out.

I'd say "The Barber" was probably my least favorite.

Looking at some of the episodes that I "liked the least" , I find that, because each episode involved up to four sub-plots (one for each of the main characters), there's usually SOMETHING funny in every episode.

But I wasn't crazy about The Barber. We have the entire series on DVD, but I'll still watch eps on TBS in the evening when I can. But "The Barber" is one episode I usually skip automatically.

Yeah, it over reached a bit with the opera music, and the accents of the Barbers are a little over the top.

That is probably my least favorite too. It was actually the most boring episode of Seinfeld I think. Even the pilot was better.

I hate the episode where the guy is dressed as a clown and out to get Jerry. Very creepy episode and I love Seinfield. I loved the final season. The Merv Griffin episode is one of my favorites.

I almost automatically take a pass on the first two seasons, outside a handful of episodes (including "The Chinese Restaurant"). The show really started getting better in the third season, and never looked back after "The Contest," IMO.

I vote for the parking garage as my least favorite (avoid watching it, along with The Barber).

#2: Seinfeld (1998)

The biggest crime of Seinfeld's series finale was that it was lazy. While I personally wasn't quite the fan that others were of the Jerry Seinfeld-starring sitcom, it definitely had its moments and it is considered to be one of the most beloved sitcoms of all-time for a reason. After nine seasons, the show had carried fans along on a lot of fun rides and whether you liked it or hated it, you had to appreciate its following. An astounding 76 million people tuned into the last episode and found themselves watching what was essentially an hour-long clip show, the kind of thing that you would expect as filler to pad out a season as opposed to a way to finish off a revered comedy's run. The issue was conflated by the fact that NBC aired an hour-long clip show ahead of the finale that made the actual episode somewhat superfluous. That wasn't the only problem though; the final episode was condescending and mean-spirited in how it took all those beloved moments and basically said "if you thought this was funny, you should feel bad" via the trial framework that piled on Jerry, Elaine, Kramer and George for essentially doing the same thing. A series finale can often be a bellwether for how the show will be perceived in the years after its conclusion and Seinfeld is an example of how a show suffered because of how bad its finale was.
