E! Pulls Plug on Whitney Cummings' Late-Night Show

Whitney Cummings' talk show is no more.

An E! spokesperson confirms that production has wrapped and the last episode of "Love You, Mean It with Whitney Cummings" has aired. The news comes mere months after the talk show, produced by Chelsea Handler’s Borderline Amazing Productions, premiered to little buzz in late November.

The weekly series featured Cummings, alongside sidekick Julian McCullough, as she commented on headlines and trends. Guests have included Will Ferrell, Lizzy Caplan and Mindy Kaling.

"Love You" had joined an increasingly crowded field of cable late-night efforts, which also includes series starring Andy Cohen, W. Kamau Bell, Russell Brand, Chelsea Handler and Conan O'Brien, among others.

Cummings stars in her eponymous comedy on NBC, currently in its second season, and is a co-creator of CBS’s "2 Broke Girls" alongside Michael Patrick King.

Although the former -- which she created, produces and stars in -- continues to struggle, garnering a weak 1.2 demo rating in its most recent airing, the latter has proved a hit for the network as well as Warner Bros, which pre-emptively sold it into syndication.

Excellent, hopefully this will make room for better programming. I couldn't make it five minutes into this show. Nothing but the same old "snarkety snark snark", always with a superior attitude and no laughs.

"Whitney" has been canceled by NBC after just two seasons, according to Deadline. The network's decision to cancel "Whitney" doesn't come as surprise after ratings dipped to less than 3 million...

Whitney is pretty hott. I watched some of her E talk show and I didnt think it was that bad. Even though the article mentions a crowded late night field, her show aired before Conan, Letterman, Russell Brand etc. right?

She somehow got herself 2 shows and got both of them cancelled. I think we've all had enough of Whitney Cummings. I certainly have.
