A little less than a year ago, I posted a thread called "Nell and the Witch". Because of how many threads have been started since then, it has been pushed way down on the second page of this section. Most of what has pushed it there has been more failed attempts by me to stimulate some conversation about this fine series! In any event, this episode is called the "Emergency" and it is from the first season. It has been uploaded in three segments. Early in the second segment, we have the pay phone scene. This is the scene in which Nell delivers her classic line "your purse! Your purse" and the little busy body goes charging down the corridor! Close to a year ago, someone posted a comment on that segment of the uploaded episode. I responded to that post by telling the poster on the other end how funny I thought that routine was and asked him or her if they liked it too. In a short while the other poster responded with "of course. That witch got what she deserved. Go Nell!" Shortly after reading that response, I shared that experience with my friends here. Well, a couple of hours ago, I watched an episode of the "Golden Girls" also uploaded onto Youtube. It had to do with Blanche's mother-in-law having recently died. It got made clear that Blanch never liked her late husband's mother. In expressing her joy about her death she said that she hoped that old witch went slowly! Hearing that word witch brought my mind right back to the pay phone scene! Just wanted to share!
