1.Who was the guy who seemed to just vanish off a train. He was involved with an odd church led by a woman who had her followers so wrapped they'd do anything for her. I can't remember this guys name or the woman's.
2. A woman abducts her child and her ex tracks her to a city and finds she's involved in a bazaar religion. He just missed her and his child.
any help on these two cases would be appreciated.

The first one sounds like Charles Southern, although he committed suicide rather than disappeared. The woman's name was Terri Hoffman.

I don't know that Charles Southern vanished off a train necessarily. I do know he's still listed as a missing person, so there would be no way to tell for certain if he committed suicide or not.
The second case is Nichoals Karapolous (sic?)

Yes, it was. The odd thing about the update, however, was that there was no mention of Nicholas' non-custodial mother Levia being arrested for kidnapping. In fact, there was very little mention of her AT ALL in the update. It was pretty much footage of Nicholas being reunited with his father and the two of them reconnecting and nothing more.

That's true, however I got the feeling from the initial case that Arthur Karapolous was much more concerned about finding Nicholas that getting Levia arrested. And I can sympathize with that. Sometimes people just want to avoid long, drawn-out court cases that can deplete a person's finances and emotional well-being, and it takes a toll on family members as well. Arthur got back what was important to him and he probably didn't give a flying rat's turd what happened to Levia. I doubt she got any visitation rights anyways.

It was actually Don Hoffman (Terri's husband) who committed suicide.

Yes, I am mistaken. wiseguy correctly stated that Charles Southern is still missing.
