An Arkansas couple strikes it rich, winning the lottery twice in one day.

Stephen and Terri Weaver decided on a whim to buy two lottery tickets going to, and then coming back from, a day-long fishing trip northeast of Little Rock, The Associated Press reported. There's no word on whether they caught any fish, but the Weavers did hit the jackpot playing the lottery. According to the Arkansas Lottery Commission, the first ticket they bought netted them a $1 million prize, while the second won them another $50,000.
The Weavers claimed their reward on Monday and planned to use the money to pay off bills and invest in their retirement, according to the Magnolia Reporter.

There is being lucky and then there is being blessed. My ex girlfriends sister is like that. These are people that don't do a damn thing for anyone but themselves, yet her and her husband win contests all the time. They were having a few financial issues and so she goes out and buys a scratch off ticket for $5 and wins $25.000. They also played the McDonalds Monopoly game one year and won a new power boat worth $12.000, and her daughter was working there at the time. But because she remarried with a different name, nobody noticed it. They entered a sweepstakes and won a travel trailer. MY GOD! I can't believe their luck. Her sister, my ex girlfriend is the same way. She is blessed when it comes to winning things. And me? I won 2 tickets to a race at a local raceway once on a radio station, but that's it.

Wow. That is some luck.

But good for them. No reason to begrudge them their good fortune.

Unless of course they're actually a-holes, and then it's understood, and screw them.
Screw 'em!

I kid! I kid!

I won an Indians cap in a drawing once, and that was years ago.

I know what you mean, I've won small stuff like T-Shirts, caps, etc. but nothing real big. We need some of that winning couple's luck. :D

I'd be happy just winning ONE of those tickets!!!

Actually, talking about winning stuff, I won a trip to Paris about 20 years ago. I was at the grocery store and Anheuser Busch was having a contest and there was a display and all you had to do was fill out an entry. I've also won alot of radio contests - concert tickets, invitations to openings of Downtown Disney, Planet Hollywood and All-Star Cafe and a bunch of other things that I can't even remember.
