Wendy Williams Confirms New Role on "Law & Order: SVU"

Daytime talk show host and actress Wendy Williams has been cast to appear on "Law & Order: SVU". Breaking the news Monday, Williams says she has already begun taping.

"I am playing a talk show host and guess what her name is. Wendy Williams. Such a stretch," she joked on "The Wendy Williams Show" Monday.



Williams was on the set of "Law & Order: SVU" over the weekend, spending several hours preparing for and finally shooting her first scene.

While Williams is unsure when the episode will air, she described it as being ripped right from the headlines.

"I'm sitting there interviewing this Chris Brown type," Williams shared, claiming the episode is somewhat similar to Chris Brown and Rihanna's up and down relationship. She is also to interview a woman similar to Rihanna in a separate scene.

"Thank you 'Law & Order'. I really had a lot of fun over there," Williams shared Monday.
