NBC/Warner are not being at all accommodating in regards to releasing this series on DVD for us to give them our money so we can enjoy this series once more. Indeed, they wont even reply to queries regarding it.

The series can be viewed via a set of taped off-air copies, some of which are on YouTube, some are available via several torrent files.

But both are from the same source - that is to say, very bad quality, multi generation, fuzzy, etc.

I've put my 1 off-air copy "out there" via a torrent (S01E24), which is a much better quality copy than the one doing the rounds...

I ask anyone else with off-air copies of this series to please digitize and distribute...

Feel free to PM me.

Warner Bros. and Mr. Larroquette jointly own the full rights to the show, NBC has no ownership. I recall early on in his Twitter days he actually tried to stop the pirating and he had said that he didn't understand why there wasn't a DVD release. I've been theorizing for a while that Warner Archive is holding off until Night Court is finished before they start on TJLS.

Thanks for your reply, Nyan.

I didn't see, but heard about John's Twitter activity RE the TJLS on DVD... From memory, that must have been at least 5+ years ago...

Well - I see Night Court is fully available on DVD now, so I hope you are right...
