Yea Cally and Mandy will be at the funeral. They announced it quite awhile ago. I think it was even in the TV Guide article about Dallas a couple weeks ago. I don't know who's going to kill him. I have problems with that too. I think the producer said that JR was too big of an icon to just let him die in his sleep. I guess we'll just have to see how they do it. It had better be good.

If they want to really amplify the whole Barnes-Ewing feud, the best thing they could do is have Rebecca somehow be involved with JRs death. Cliff's too old to want to kill JR and when you think about it he would have done it years ago when he was getting screwed over by him. Anyone else and it's not going to work. If they bring in someone new and have them kill JR it just won't have the same impact which is what I'm afraid the writers might do.

Frankly, I was surprised about that as well but from what I read int eh paper, they wanted it to be true to the character and they figured that Larry Hagman would have wanted JR to go out that way. I wondered how they were going to factor in Larry's death into the show and if it was going to continue afterward. I think it should (even though I've never watched the new version) b/c I think he woudl have wanted it to.
