I always find it amusing when a sitcom character (doesn't matter which show) sits down to have breakfast and is fully dressed with a suit & tie.

To me, that's an invitation to disaster.

I like how it always seems like they have all the time in the world before work too

They have time to have a nice breakfast with juice and coffee and casually read the morning newspaper at the same time. If I did that, I'd be three hours late for work.

But the teenagers are always late for school, and only take two bites.

But, really, How long does it take to have breakfast really 45 minutes to an hour? Go to bed early and wake up early.

fortunetly, since December of 1992 I haven't had that problem because that's when I was laid off from my job; which I HATED anyway. I remember I wasn't surprised when it happened because the company was going through a bad period and there was talk that they were going to start laying people off.

On Friends, they always seemed to find the time to hang out at the coffee house. In fact, there was even a joke one time, where they were all sitting there and I think Chandler said something like "Wait, aren't we all supposed to be at work now???" and they all hastily leave.

no, I'm just not ready to go back to work yet.:) (I've been thinking of getting a part-time volunteer job, though)

maybe its just me, but i always get up early - don't even need to set the alarm. Breakfast is important and you should eat it at a normal speed, of course I have problems with food and it is more important that I take more care, but seriously it can't be good to always just wolf down your food - how can you even enjoy it like that?

the trick with a tie (assuming you don't wear a tie clip or pin) is to tuck it into your shirt while you're eating or you'll get your breakfast all over it.

As a kid I always had breakfast, now no since I'm too lazy to get up early on my days off. I will usually eat breakfast after church, I'll grab coffee and a donut to last me.

Some of us do wake up early enough to be able to sit down and have breakfast before work.
