Since Subway says that it's the bread's fault for not being cooked properly...they should just over-flow the meat on the sandwich so it reaches a length of 12 inches. I don't know if that would solve the problem since the subs themselves are supposed to be 12 inches long.

I may no go back to another subway again...their sandwiches are okay but if you get one with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, and onion...it's practicality eating a salad sandwich! I'm not against eating a salad, but if I want a salad I'd eat the real thing!

Just give me Jimmy John's...at least they're better and is worth every penny.

i would think they'd be better off giving you an extra inch of empty bread rather than the extra toppings.

i'm not a fan of Subway. too many problems, give me a Penn Station sub and I'm happy.

My girlfriend and I eat at Subway often and have never thought to bring a tape measure. :D

Any fraction of the sandwiches we were cheated out of was made up for by the number of drink refills before we left.

I usually get the flat bread and you can tell by looking at it that it's not 12 inches but you have a valid point. If it's advertised as being a foot long then you should get exactly that.

Speaking of Subway, the last time we went which was last week we ordered 2 meatball and mozzarella subs and were told that they no longer used mozzarella. I was offered a choice of american, provelone, etc... They didn't say if it was just that location, just that they no longer used mozzarella.

Meatball is the only one I get with cheese, I can't eat it without mozzarella. I never get cheese on the others.

I don't ever remember getting mozzarella cheese with meatball. I didn't even know they ever offered it. I get provelone. I know at one time Subway did have swiss cheese on their menue but they stopped offering that a long time ago.

My big complaint with Subway is they have really cut down on their meat. There is another deli shop that I go to and they are loaded with meat. You get to chose your own topping...the same as Subway. It fills you up a lot more too.

There is a Subway near me and I don't go to it often but every time I do, it seems like they talk very quietly and the music is too loud. When I go to submarina, the music is very low and I can hear the employees better. So I like the Submarina for that reason and it has more meat too.

OH Nuts!

I'm not that peeved over the 11 inches. That being said though, I think Subway's overrated; I've always liked Blimpies more. And Subway's turkey tastes nasty. So on the VERY RARE occasion I go there I get the veggie sandwhich with cheese; then add my own turkey, making it no great bargain. Also too many carbs for me in the bread. I'm better off making my own subs at home, although it's been a year and a half since I've had one.

The Subway I go to each Saturday before work is a nice one with great people working there. One of them told me yesterday that there was a mandate sent to each Subway that they do have to measure the bread every time now in light of this situation.
