Has anyone else noticed how sped up and edited the credits are on This TV? Mr Ed looks like he's having a seizure.

All the episodes are also cut from 25 mins down to 22 mins. Mr. Television 02-15-2013, 02:00 AM At least it's on TV. missy's pop pop 12-08-2013, 09:06 PM All syndicated episodes suffer from this to some extent. You'll recall in first-run, for example, "Mr. Ed" contained a little sponsor billboard for Studebaker (or in later seasons, Dow Chemical Company's Handi-Wrap) and a similar closing billboard that took about 30 seconds total. Add an opening, middle and closing spot of 60 seconds each , and about a minute for both opening and closing themes, and you've got about 25 minutes of actual show. Nowadays, the sponsor breaks are usually two minutes a break, and they gotta cut down on the time somewhere. I agree, Ed looks like he's about to bust the stable doors down during the closing credits! |
