Probably the Whales of August (not something you should try to force a 12 year old to watch...might appreciate it when I'm older tho)

Also, Batman Forever and Monkey Bone.

I sincerely hope you mean "What's Eating Gilbert Grape", otherwise, that's just terrifying.

TOMMY and GREASE 2 take the honors in my book - 4 hours of my life that I cannot get back.

I went and saw one of the Star Wars trilogy when I was about ten and I honestly fell asleep in the movie. Whew...three hours I coulda spent sleeping in my bed instead of in the theatre seats.

However, I am giving Star Wars another chance and watching the newer versions being put out...maybe I won't sleep through these.

This is the only movie I have ever, in my whole life fallen asleep at. However, I don't list it as the worst movie I've ever seen because one, I didn't really see it, and two, I was really really tired that night and likely would have fallen asleep no matter what we saw.

I totally agree I fall asleep after the first 10 minutes. Another movie I watched at one of my friends b-day parties was Cool world its like Roger Rabbit but it was very lame. And one other movie that I thought was bad is Junior I mean a movie about a guy having a baby now that's just stupied Poor Arnold Swarzenagor he had to be in it and he is a good actor.

Poor Arnold! What about poor Emma Thompson! Arnold I guess can act, but Emma has two Oscars! Why in the world was she in that?

Drowning Mona was awful too. Despite a great cast, awful awful awful movie!

Can I only choose one? There are about a billion movies I've seen that sucked but these ones spring to mind immediately -

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
The House Beside The Cemetary
Dude, Where's My Car
Cannibal Holocaust

I recently rented 'Town & Country' which was awful - £3.50 of my hard earned cash down the drain!

Like I said, there are about a billion more but I'd be here all day...

Oh but Rocky Horror is so delightfully cheesy. And it does have a good message of not being so damn uptight about sex.

Of course, it's still not a great movie, but far from worst ever....

Have you ever seen it in a theatre where they do audience participation? I think that makes all the difference.

The most boring movie I have seen recently is Cindler's list. I have been watching it in my english class. The movie has a lot of violence in it and a lot of sick stuff in it. I wouldn't recommend it.

You mean Schindler's List, right?! That's such a good movie. I thought it was rated R. We can't even watch PG-13 in my school (and everyone is over 13..)

Schindler's List is an important movie about a very important subject. The sick stuff in it is stuff that really happened, and it is important that we never forget that. I'm not saying it's not boring at parts, or that you aren't entitled to your opinion, because you certainly are. I just didn't want other people to be discouraged from seeing it. I would recommend it. It was nominated for 12 Oscars and won 7, including Best Picture.

LucyFan, sometimes watching movies in school can suck, because you're already bored and distracted as it is, plus I am not sure how old you are, but I would encourage you to give it another chance sometime, maybe when you're older. It is certainly not a feel-good movie though, I'll give ya that! ;)

"What's Eating Gilbert Grape" isn't that bad...

"Wild Wild West" is though. I turned it off even before the opening credits were through...

But the most recent worst has to be "Planet of the Apes". Man, that sucked. The worst novel to screen adaptation has to be the Robert Redford version of "The Great Gatsby". Such a great classic novel, and I ended up hating the movie. The cast is all wrong. It simply sucked. And Francis Ford Coppola's biggest blunder this side of "Godfather III".

The English Patient – I know it got an oscar but I found it incredibly boring. :sleep2:

I agree with those who said Hanging Up and Autumn in New York.

I kinda liked What's Eating Gilbert Grape?

Wanted to add my 2 cents about Schindler's List – I know it's not pleasant to watch but I don't think it should be categorized as the worst movie. When it first came out I was in high school and our class got to take a field trip to the movie theater to see it. I found it very moving and sad. But some of my classmates were laughing during very serious parts of the movie and I just think they were not mature enough to handle it. The point I'm trying to make is that it is a very serious and important movie but it is not for everyone.

Rocky Horror is lost on me. I've never been ablre to see the attraction. I'm pretty much crazy about "Oh Brother Where..." But I like that kind of music. "Schindler's List" is based on a historical novel. I think it is a tremendous movie but it doesn't only aim to entertain. It's main purpose for being made was to educate. We're fortunate when something like that comes out of Hollywood.

Arnold's baby movie was as bad as they come. What a gawdawful concept. Don't feel bad for Arnold or Emma though. They chose to be a part of it and were handsomely payed, no doubt.

Ratboy: Really bad movie about this boy who looks like a rat and he becomes famous and people try to exploit him. It was just really disturbing.

The rest of these were shown during Mixed Media class in 12th grade: Boring, boring boring.

Moby Dick
Citizen Kane
Face in the Crowd
John Doe

"Gateway to Hell" scared me when I was 9 but now a days I realize there should have been more gore and more maggot ridden corpses... Well hey it was supposed to be a horror movie!
