According to ABC News, per Good Morning America earlier this morning, after more than 20 years nonstop as an actor, Leonardo DiCaprio is taking a break from acting once filming on The Wolf of Wall Street is completed.
The 38-year-old DiCaprio, whose big break was as Luke Brower, a homeless teen taken in by the Seaver family on the hit 1980s sitcom Growing Pains, said in a German interview that he wants to spend more time trying to save the environment.
Unlike many in the entertainment industry, DiCaprio has given MILLIONS of his money earned from Film/TV to causes he believes in.
DiCaprio was on Growing Pains during the Fall 1991 TV season, but by Seasons end, the series was canceled despite the fact that, per DiCaprios Biography episode on the Biography Channel, 13 million viewers tuned in weekly, helping the show end its run at #27 out of 102 prime-time shows.
DiCaprios latest movie, Django Unchained, is now playing in theaters everywhere and is directed by Quentin Tarantino.
