There's a king of the castle at "Franklin & Bash" — or should we say queen?

Heather Locklear is joining the TNT lawyer dramedy for Season 3 as a new series regular named Rachel King, Entertainment Weekly reports. King, a new partner at the firm, is described as "a stunning trial lawyer, with stiletto heels and clothes tailored within an inch of their life."



Locklear, 51, enters the series following the departure of Garcelle Beauvais, who played Hanna Linden, a senior partner at the Infeld Daniels firm during the first two seasons.

This will be Locklear's first series regular gig since NBC's short-lived drama "LAX" in 2004.

I now have a new reason to tune in to "Franklin & Bash".

When TNT's *legal dramedy returns June 19, Heather Locklear will bring her signature sass as the firm's new partner, trial lawyer Rachel King, who never misses an *opportunity to bash both Peter Bash (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Jared Franklin (Breckin Meyer).

"They are frat boys who need discipline," Locklear says. "She'd really like to get rid of them."





The antics kick off when the three appear on "Piers Morgan Tonight" to discuss nudists' rights. After Rachel makes a bet with the guys, they both lose their shirts...and perhaps their pants, too.

"It's so much fun," says Locklear, whose character also tries to strip Piers Morgan of his trousers.



But don't expect Rachel to put the moves on the titular legal eagles, whom Locklear, 51, claims "are too young for me."

Instead, Rachel will eventually lock lips with both *Damien (Reed Diamond) and Bash's mom (Jane Seymour), who will be accused of prostitution after she becomes a sex surrogate.





This marks Locklear's third girl-on-girl TV kiss, and she gives Seymour high marks.

"Jane was aggressive and very good," she says. "My first time was Denise Richards on Spin City, and the other one must not have been so memorable, because I forgot who she was."
