Are there any plans to upgrade to vBulletin 4 in the near future? It's been out for a while now and, IIRC, has some of the biggest updates (at least in appearance) in a long time for the software. I don't know how many sites have switched to it, but the 2 other vB boards I visit have. There are some nice new features, as well.

What are some of the new features and advantages of 4 over 3.8 that you like? I still see a lot of sports sites (like hfboards.com) that I visit regularly that are running very customized versions of 3.8. I have thought about upgrading to at least 3.8 for a long time. There are some features (like a mobile theme) that people have asked about in the past that could be implemented.

I'm just not really a big fan of the look of 4. It's supposedly even more of a resource hog. If it would encourage more people to join and participate, I may look into it. It would be a huge jump to go from 3.5 to 4. All of the custom styles and modifications would have to be redone.

I'd be on here a whole lot more with a mobile version!

The main features I like are the mobile accessiblilty, the ability to auto-save posts as you type them, the "rating" feature for threads, multi-quote, etc. There are just little bells and whistles here and there that I like (personally, I like 4's look more, it's a little sleeker but can appear cluttered...none of this would have an impact on my visiting schedule here).

I understand the cost/resource consequences - I guess I was just interested in knowing your opinion on it and whether there were any plans to switch to it as the other sites I visit have.
