not trying to be funny or getting into your business, but i'm going to guess throat cancer. which of course that was the type of serious disease that Michael Larson (PYL) had in 1999.

and speaking of PYL, Mensa where the BLANK is PYL on your list huh?

Yeah How does Price is Right make it on the list and not 5th Grader?????
5th Grader makes you think more than Price is Right:confused:

that maybe true jerry scott but TPIR is all about guessing the cost of everyday items while AYSTA5THG? is all about answering grade-school level questions that you should already remember by now. and no offense to you sir, but TPIR has a much longer run and it successfully still continues along the run with Drew Carey at the helm on CBS rather than 5th grader on FOX and in Syndication(which it ran for two seasons BTW) with Jeff Foxworthy.

I understand what you are saying let'swatchtv, but when I think of Mensa I think of really smart and knowledgeable people and even though I like TPIR it doesn't take a rocket scientist to guess if that toaster is higher or lower than 20 dollars:) 5th grader atleast makes you think alittle even if you should know all the answers to the questions. Which most of the contestants didn't:lol: .

except for Kathy Cox & George Smoot who both won the Million Dollar Prize on the original FOX primtime version respectively.

also I should've mention that TPIR had a few chances at syndie runs here and there but there were never successful. same goes with another example Card Sharks with two attempts at survivng in syndication which of course obviously failed. but to be fair with you Jerry, I wish Rafferty's version had more success than the craptacular Bullard version.

also since I've mention it Card Sharks should have been on their list as well. but even though Mensa is supposed to be the smartest group of people ever in the universe they can sometimes make a few mistakes here and there but hey nobody's perfect. am I right?

but since were on the subject of smart shows that makes you think alittle how about Win Ben Stein's Money, The Joker's Wild, Tic Tac Dough, Twenty-One,The $64,000 Question, Greed, or The Weakest Link?

Do you trash talk contestants too? I tend to do that if I know one that no one else gets, there is somthing really satisfying about yelling "you guys suck!" at the TV.

when you watch any game show on television (favorite or not), it's always more easier to play along with the game and make fun of contestants at home, but when you get to play it into the studio in front of the host/hostess/co-host, contestants and the audience it's more nerve-racking than ever before.

I might have tossed TPIR and Squares for more intellectual type game shows like Weakest Link but overall, I agree with the Mensa List.

well I agree with the ''Squares'' thing since that show is more ''comedy-driven'' in stead of ''quiz-driven''. but as for TPIR even though I'm not a fan of the show, at least teaches you about math and numbers.
