She says she wants to quit so she can do something else with her life and then gets mad when the agency calls Mr. Drummond about sending him a new housekeeper??? LOL
What the hell were they supposed to do be without a housekeeper after she left? This was one of her weirdest episodes.
BTW: I hated that she left this show and went on to do Facts of Life

Mrs. Garrett was a weirdo in a lot of the episodes. There was one episode where she was looking in the mirror and singing, "Ohhhh you big beautiful doll!" And then she starts barking.

I was shocked that she expected the Drummonds household to be without a housekeeper after she left:lol:

I think "Mrs. Garrett's Crisis" laid the groundwork for the season one finale "Garrett's Girls," which also served as the backdoor pilot for "The Facts Of Life." Since Charlotte Rae had become a breakout actress due to her popularity as Edna Garrett on "Strokes," Fred Silverman (NBC's head honcho during the late '70s and early '80s) decided to create a spin-off for Rae; the end result, of course, was "The Facts Of Life." And I also agree that "Strokes" was never the same after Rae--and Mrs. Garrett--departed midway through season two in order to work on "Facts" full-time; I wasn't fond of her replacements, Adelaide Brubaker (Nedra Volz) and Pearl Gallagher (Mary Jo Catlett), as much as I was fond of Mrs. Garrett.
