Jesse McCartney Signs Up for "Army Wives" Duty (Exclusive)

Jesse McCartney is enlisting in Lifetime's "Army Wives".

The actor-musician has booked a recurring role on the upcoming seventh season of the Lifetime drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.



McCartney will play Private Tim Truman, a young, eager and enthusiastic soldier determined to prove himself on his first deployment. The Grammy nominee behind 'Beautiful Soul' will play the husband to high school sweetheart/new series regular Elle McLemore's farm girl Holly Truman.

With his 11-episode recurring gig, he becomes the latest member of the "Army Wives" cast ahead of its seventh season reboot.
