I have been a fan of The Odd Couple for many years and have noticed that Oscar's cigar smoking has got him into trouble several times. Two of them stand out. The first was the group therapy episode when he lit a cigar in front of the group. The second was when he fell asleep in Felix's bed smoking a cigar and he burned a hole in the mattress. He tried to win a bed on "Let's Make a Deal." So that led me to wonder. Was Oscar badly addicted to flithy, smelly cigars?
