IDAHO– Five inmates in Idaho are suing some of the nation’s top liquor and wine companies for $1 billion.

ABC News reports the inmates blame alcohol for their crimes.

One inmate, who is serving a 20-to-30 year sentence for shooting a man said, “If I was not an alcoholic, the shooting would never have happened.”

ABC News said the inmates’ lawsuit was filed last month and claims alcohol companies are responsible for the inmates’ crimes and should have put warning labels on their products.

No comment from the companies.

This should have never have been filed.

maybe everyone else in the country should file a class-action lawsuit against these inmates for not putting a warning label on themselves to let the rest of us know that they may contain a danger to society. :rolleyes:

This case should be thrown out. It's a waste of the courts time and resources!!:rolleyes:
