how many here remember this short-lived CBS sitcom? I remember it was part of CBS es saturday night lineup in 1970 or 71. It went off after 1 season because Sandy Duncan got sick, and came back in 1972 in a completly retooled format and renamed THE SANDY DUNCAN SHOW and was moved to sundays. It was also short-lived.

I've never seen it, but I'd like to someday. I've always liked Sandy Duncan.

I recall Sandy Duncan's shows from the early 70's, her shows were sort of similar to Doris Day's show. Both shows were short lived, 13 episodes each I believe, they could package both series together in one DVD set, probably unlikely though that it would ever come to pass. Sandy Duncan was also in the 80's show The Hogan Family.

Never saw the show at the time but recently watched a few and its a charming little show, if you can deal with Sandy's extreme perkiness. It was a Top 10 show so no idea why they felt the need to change the format when it came back.

This was the earliest primetime sitcom that I distinctly remember watching first-run episodes of.

I was also watching shows like Laugh-In and Flip Wilson around those years, but Sandy's show is the only sitcom of those very, very early seventies I can really remember seeing in prime.

I know that my family probably caught All in the Family and possibly Mary Tyler Moore from their starts, but my memories come from a little later.

I was sort of smitten with Sandy, even though at those very young ages I was already a "long hair fan" (and fascinated by another Sandi, Sandi Jensen Griffiths of Lawrence Welk with her cascading red hair). Ms. Duncan was a very big star in that era -- am I mistaken or did she also do the L'eggs pantyhose commercials?

that's right; she had an accident and went blind in one eye or something I remember.
