View Full Version : NFL Playoffs 2013
MrCleveland 12-31-2012, 10:13 AM Well obviously, the "Browns" Season is over...as a matter of fact it was over before the season began.
But the 1st round seems to be exciting with the Bengals and the Texans, the Colts and the Ravens (Go Colts), the Packers and the Vikings, and the Seahawks and the Redskins.
The Broncos, Patriots, Falcons, and 49ers have bye weeks.
I would like to see the Texans in their 1st Super Bowl, I just don't wanna see the Ravens or Patriots go.
isiahthomas 01-05-2013, 01:48 PM My picks are Texans, Packers(even though i like Adrian Peterson), Colts, Redskins. Ravens aren't going to the super bowl because they can't score a lot of points and nobody wants to watch a team in the super bowl who can't score a lot LOL. Glad this is Ray Lewis last year. His teammate Ed Reed needs to retire also. I would like to see in the super bowl the Patriots vs Redskins or 49ers. I was disappointed the Giants and Steelers didn't make the playoffs. LOL@what you said about Cleveland hahahahahahahahahaha. The Browns need to move outta Cleveland because my hometown doesn't need a football team. That's why i was surprised the Cleveland residents were mad when Art Modell moved the team to Baltimore. It's funny how Baltimore won a super bowl but when they were in Cleveland before they moved, they couldn't get a super bowl LOL.
simmytbone 01-05-2013, 02:36 PM The only thing that I can tell ya is this:
Even though I am a fan of the Falcons
You never know who's gonna win and who's goin' home
You may or may not be surprised who will win
Marvo301 01-05-2013, 04:07 PM This has been a great season to be a Seahawks fan! I hope it continues in the playoffs!!
TVFactFan 01-05-2013, 07:12 PM So far the bengals are down 9-7 in the 3rd qtr
I like the Vikings tonight
I like the Colts and Skins tomorrow
biffbronson 01-06-2013, 09:58 AM I'm going Ravens and Redskins. The Colts will have too much going against them, especially for a rookie QB. And the Seahawks is a risky pick just going by their franchise history -- what is it, just one playoff win ever...?

At the end of the day it all comes down to who the refs want to win anyway:lol:
gilligan fanatic 01-06-2013, 02:53 PM Poor Joe Webb, that had to suck for him not to throw a pass all year and then have to start a playoff game. Even with AD the Vikings had no chance.

I blame the stupid coaches for putting the game in Joe webb's hands and not giving the ball to AP so that things would open up for Webb. The entire night it was Webb trying to make plays instead of trying to hand the ball off to Adrian Peterson.
tiredmike59 01-06-2013, 05:08 PM Aren't any of the visiting teams going to win ?
TVFactFan 01-06-2013, 05:11 PM Aren't any of the visiting teams going to win ?
It;s kind of dull when all the home teams win

Just Seattle so far.
I hate New England so hopefuly the Texans beat them next week

They would have at least had a chance if they did that
TVFactFan 01-07-2013, 10:41 PM They would have at least had a chance if they did that
I now know that no matter what kind of talent a team has, they will not win if they have a idiot for a coach
Schmoopie 01-08-2013, 01:36 AM This has been a great season to be a Seahawks fan! I hope it continues in the playoffs!!
Absolutely Marv! They are awesome this year! So cool that they won that game against the Redskins yesterday because they weren't doing so well in the beginning. But they really overcame that fourteen point deficit in a huge way! Even if they don't make it to the Superbowl they should be proud! Although I am hoping they at least get to the big game! A win would be nice as well! Just sayin...;)
biffbronson 01-08-2013, 12:31 PM Congrats to fans of the birds -- Seahawks and Ravens -- who will be joining the Falcons as members of the next rounds. Also to the fans of the other teams I haven't mentioned: Texans, Pats, Broncos, Packers, and 49ers on having good seasons...!
I'll go out on a limb and predict the AFC and NFC champions:
AFC: Broncos
NFC: 49ers
Actually I'd like to see the Seahawks and Texans go at it in the Super Bowl -- that would guarantee a first-time winner for their fans.
TVFactFan 01-08-2013, 08:39 PM I hope to see the seattle fans post on the board if they lose next week

That SB would not get any ratings
biffbronson 01-08-2013, 08:48 PM True -- except a lot of people are watching for the commercials...! lol
That matchup likely falls into the "worst-case-scenario" category for the network, but that's their problem -- I just want to see a franchise win that has never done it before. Whether it's MLB, NBA, you name it.
Schmoopie 01-09-2013, 04:04 AM That SB would not get any ratings
I'd watch it for sure! My home state vs my current home state? That would be awesome!
Mr. Television 01-09-2013, 09:22 AM Any team but the 49ers and Packers. lol
TVFactFan 01-09-2013, 08:24 PM I'd watch it for sure! My home state vs my current home state? That would be awesome!
People in Seattle and Houston would watch for sure
MrCleveland 01-12-2013, 10:20 PM The Ravens won the AFC so I hope the Texans will win it all for the AFC.
biffbronson 01-12-2013, 11:02 PM That was a great game -- The Ravens hung 35 on the Broncos at Mile High, and then win it in the 2nd overtime. Almost unreal. I think maybe the Texans have a better chance against Baltimore (than they would have against Denver), provided of course they get past New England.

I know broncos fans are heartbroken since they have 2 kickoffs returns for TD's and loss LOL
Mr. Television 01-12-2013, 11:22 PM That Baltimore-Denver game was a classic. That's why NFL football is so great.

It's a shame Chris Berman won't be doing the Highlights tonight for such a great game
biffbronson 01-12-2013, 11:58 PM Right before the game, someone commented not only did they expect the Broncos to win, but to win "big." And these are the high-profile 'experts.'

The Ravens knew they were 10 pt underdogs and that's why they came out so hype

Most of the experts also picked the Packers. They aren't doing so well tonight. lol

The muffed punt hurt them because they were getting the ball back up 14-7
Regulus 01-13-2013, 12:31 AM One thing I like about the NFL is their "One Game Only" playoffs. Upsets can and will occur. As for the others, I really don't care for their "Best of X Number of Games" Format, which can drag their post-season games over a period of months. There is one thing I don't like about the NFL, and that is the two-week period between the Semi-Finals and the Super Bowl. Bring the Super Bowl back to January!
biffbronson 01-13-2013, 09:53 AM I agree it's now too long of a wait for the Super Bowl (could be the "Harbaugh Bowl" this year). But they made the change to exploit the event further. The NFL is sitting on a goldmine right now and the $$$$ just keeps increasing like mad.
I thought it was funny that Dierdorf mentioned the Broncos would be unwilling to drop a safety back in defense to stop the bleeding. He was right -- they won't do it. And it cost them big time against Baltimore. Any one time against one of the deep balls could have preserved a win.
