DJ goes to attend college at Berkeley. Jesse heads off on his motorcycle with Becky to a convention in South Dakota. Stephanie moves into DJ's room. Becky gets killed in a motorcycle accident.

After Becky's funeral, Jesse has a very hard time coping with Becky's death. He wouldn't even get out of bed in the morning. After realizing that Nicky and Alex need him more than ever, he snaps out of his mourning.
#9-3 (Part 1)
Jesse finds an unconscious woman at the door step when he goes to get the morning paper. The woman's name is Jamie Hill and she was beaten by her husband. Jesse vows to protect her.
#9-4 (Part 2)
At the hospital, Jamie refuses to talk about what happened to her. She is scared her husband will beat her more if she tells what happened. Jesse convinces her to talk and vows to protect her.
#9-5 (Part 3)
Jesse gets hurt protecting Jamie from her husband. Jamie's husband is arrested and taken to prison, where Jamie then has a divorce.

Danny catches Stephanie and Gia smoking pot in the basement.

Jamie gets offered to be Danny's new co-host on Wake Up San Francisco, and takes the job.

Jamie comes over to babysit, Nicky and Alex and gets shown affection by Jesse which the boys catch him in the act and refuse to accept Jamie and treat her badly, thinking she's trying to take their mother's place. Jesse explains no one could take Becky's place even if he fell in love with Jamie. All the fuse causes Jesse to kiss Jamie at the end of the episode.

It's Christmas and DJ comes home with a new boyfriend, Walter (Paul Rudd). She also comes with some more news. She's two months pregnant! Can you say "Grandpa Danny"?

When Jamie comes over to visit, she is caught in a snow storm, where she spends the night and Jesse and Jamie get a bit too close while she's there.

DJ and Walter get married. Right when the ceremony was ending, DJ started to go into labor. After being rushed to the hospital, she gives birth to a son, Tanner Walter Andrews.

DJ, Walter and their baby move into an apartment nearby. Jesse asks Jamie to marry him, in which she says, she has to think it over. She's still scared because of how her last husband treated her.

Michelle gets her first F and is afraid to tell her father. Jamie convinces her to be truthful to her father, and helps Michelle study for the test retake, in which she then gets an A.
