Ratings: It's a Wonderful Life Gets Biggest Audience in Years

More than 5.5 million people tuned in to the holiday classic It's a Wonderful Life on NBC Christmas Eve, marking it the biggest audience for Frank Capra's 1946 film in seven years.

Bolstered by those numbers, NBC won Monday evening, with It's a Wonderful Life drawing 5.6 million viewers, its largest audience since 2005, and a 1.5 rating in the adults 18-to-49 demographic.

It also makes it the most-watched theatrical movie to play on a broadcast network so far this season, according to Entertainment Weekly.

I watched it. It's just not Christmas without viewing It's a Wonderful Life.

I watched it on DVD 12/23. I have better things to do than sit through 20+ minutes of commercials per hour. :angryfire

Besides, on Christmas Eve I entertained myself by going :angel: Church Hopping :angel:. I attended three different Christmas Eve Services at three different Churches. The First had a Children's Show, the Second was a Contemporary Service, the Third was Traditional. It's fun to see how different faiths observe Christmas Eve, and I'll do it again next year. :D

:) I definety watched it! It is now my Christmas Eve Tradition to watch this wonderful movie! Out of all the Christmas movies, this one is my favorite of all!

I didn't see it this year, despite it being my favorite Christmas movie.
