Some episodes seem to include somewhat violent/disturbing content, such as: the episode that had Spencer locked up in a cage; the episodes that had the gang kidnapped by the psycho girl.

I don't think so, everyone cheered Gibby for saving the gang. Spencer being locked up in a cage by his nemesis was hilarious.
