Mike and Molly is a very close second of my favorite TV shows after Parks and Recreation. Basically a tie really. I really love this show.
Why? Look at the cast picture above. Every last one of these actors is FUNNY and very real life. Even the dog Jim! The only thing to me that is not realistic in this whole show is Mike, a 350 pound Chicago cop. I dont think a man that heavy could be a cop. What I would like is to have Mike and Carl be detectives.
The writing is good, and even though it is a Chuck Lorre show, even the raunchy humor is great and not low class. There really isn't to me a boring, or unlikeable character. I think they also have done well with the diversity of the show.
Like the younger sister and mother I also enjoy red wine and in the sister's case, pot. Their Xmas party is about the one I would have. Drinking, laughter and more drinking. I also liked that Vince cried at the end of "It's a Wonderful Life". I have cried watching that last part like Vince myself (seriously, once watching it in a college common room with a bunch of guys). Vince is a late addition to the cast, but he's great too.
Great show, and hopefully it will last 10 seasons like Two and a Half Men.
