I was always annoyed at you for not adding more boards to the site like nationl news, dating, employment, and other types of boards. Why did this site stay the same for so long? Why didn't you make a effort to make this site better?

Now that the damm world will end I guess we will never know what could have been. It was no reason for this site to stay the same for 12 years and now you blew your chance to make it better.

BYE TJ, That is all.

Whomever said "there is a sucker born every minute" must have had the people in mind who believe the world is going to explode today.

All of the constant blather about "the end of the world" seems to be just a way to abrogate responsibility for your own fate, to me. If everything is preordained, you really don't have much chance of affecting anything, therefore your own responsibility is lessened, if not negated.

For all of those who were so sure this was REALLY going to be the end of everything (just as they've been sure several other times), tomorrow will rise and they will still have bills to pay, jobs to go to (presumably), conflicts to deal with, etc. And no 'doomsday' to rescue them. ;)

I remember back in 2000 how petrified many people were about the whole Y2K thing.

Then they were actually disappointed that nothing happened.

People felt disappointed and foolish that nothing happened. I remember all those people that were hunkering down and gathering all the canned goods and emergency supplies they could find.

Everybody just needs to forget about "knowing' when the world is going to end, because the reality is that we probably won't. We'll just have to greet each day as the giant unknown that it is, and hope for the best.

Some things are always going to be 'unknowable' and this is, thankfully, one of them, because I can not imagine the horror and stress associated with actually knowing when it's all going to go 'poof'.

btw, thanks gidget and PrettyinPink for the nice words. :)

You're welcome. :) And once again, you've stated it perfectly up above!! There are just some things we aren't meant to know. :)

On Y2K Night 13 years ago The Networks couldn't bring you the World's biggest disaster, so they showed the next best thing, THE WORLDS BIGGEST  PARTY!!

My Guess is the next Doomsday Prediction will be in March, when Comet PANN/STARR lights up the sky, and/or November, when Comet ISON REALLY LIGHTS UP THE SKY!!! :D  :ufo:   :rotflmao: :brent
