do you think it'll start going down in the ratings after they stop showing Larry Hagmans episodes (he's only in the first 6)

I do, maybe not at first, but it will.

I will watch 'Dallas' until the end. I do think Larry's death will effect the ratings. People tune in just to see what J.R. was going to do. He was fun to watch.

yes, I agree. Like I said, they may not go down this season but they will next season-if there is a next season.

I'll watch until the end too because I'm loyal. I watched the original show long after it JTS. I'm not as big a fan of the new series. I hate the way they ignore the reunion movies and I don't like the little mistakes they make about the backstory. I don't really think the show will last without Larry though. He was the main reason to watch. Of the new cast, I do like John Ross but the rest is far beneath the original cast. I just hope they give JR the proper sendoff he deserves.

Yeah, I'd be VERY surprised if the show doesn't take a big ratings dive. For one thing, J.R. was one of only three links to the original show, and not to be disrespectful at all, but I doubt that anyone's going to stay just to see Linda Gray's character. Bobby Ewing was always a very interesting character, too; much more moral than J.R. of course, but he did have some bite to him. But again, without the other originals or at least some, he's not going to keep viewers IMHO.

I agree with this comment here. I was thinking the very, exact, same thing.
