I know that the girls went to Langley obviously, Natalie majored in Journalism but I dont remember if Blair and Jo ever had a major. I know Jo student teaches a class at one point, dabbles in photography and obviously eventually takes a social service job and Blair does law school but I couldnt remember if they ever officially declared.

They never mentioned majors. I know Jo jumped around from idea to idea. I remember in one episode she was cutting up her meat as if she were performing an operation on a kidney.

And Jo was ultimately a police officer.

All you need for that is police academy. Technically no college needed

Not true. I know for sure Blair was a business major in undergrad. In the episode, "Fast Food" she mentioned she was a business student and she had to get a job in order to graduate. Also, as we all know, she went to law school after that. Tootie's major was Dramatic Arts (she announced in the last episode that she was accepted to the World Academy of Dramatic Arts). My guess is that Jo's major was either Social Work or Criminal Justice, since she worked at a non-profit and later as a police officer.

That's not entirely true. Some major cities require a social science degree.

Blair's major was business, even though she ultimately decided to attend law school. Jo's major was education. She graduated with a teaching degree and went to work for a company making educational programs for students (aka...she moves to California with that guy at the end of season 8.) When she came back to Peekskill, she couldn't find a job so ended up at the community center where she befriended the social worker who attempted suicide. In the episode she says she is thinking about going back to school to get a degree in social work. Obviously, sometime after the show ended she became a cop instead (which I always thought was out of character and irritated me in the reunion movie.) Nat majored in journalism and I would assume Tootie majored in theater/drama.

I need to watch this show again. It's been too long. :)

I couldn't agree with you anymore: seasons 1 to 5 were the best ever (especially the 'EDNA'S EDIBLE' years) cos after MRS G left the show kind of died.......:(

Do we ever know if Edna Garrett ever finished college? I know she went back in E.G.O.C. but I think she quit shortly after she started. I think her major was English or something. It's been awhile since I've seen that episode.

Yes, they are all there.

And thank goodness somebody finally put decent quality versions and episodes not broken into 3 parts (like it's been the past 3 or 4 years)! And it's been great getting to rewatch some of the later seasons during late night feedings.

In season 7 stakeout blues she's studying for her finals and only makes short appearances in the episode babbling on with facts. So I think they intended to have her finish but then she went onto the peace corps with Bruce... And obviously there was no online degree option then.

They are good quality! I really wish the rest of the seasons would just be released on DVD.

Just finished Season 1 and starting 2. It's so different watching in my twenties versus pre teen

I agree. It is also different watching as a parent of a teen...some things I never noticed as a kid pop out at me now. LOL

Haha! It is VERY different watching it at 27 than 14/15! And by wrong with season one what do you mean? Like it's a lot worse than you thought or there are more sexual innuendo's than you thought?

Little bit of both. It seems more juvenile than Season 2, and now I see blatant sexual innuendo's.

Also, just finished Pretty Babies and it completely grossed me out more than it ever did

In regards to season one, I am still a fan. In fact, I am going to Netflix Canada and watch some episodes in a moment.

Funny I thought I saw every episode during the first run, but I missed that one. Just saw it now on YouTube. That was just at the time when Child Pornography was made illegal. But this particular episodes pales, compared to an average episode of Honey Boo Boo!

Nancy O. majored in Psychology, which probably not by coincidence is what Felice majored in at Brown.

At "Facts of Life" University, I had a double major in Cindy and Molly with a double minor in Blair and Garrett.
