NBC Orders Competition "Hollywood Game Night" to Series

NBC has given a series order to another game show.

"Hollywood Game Night", based on the real-life game nights hosted by "Will and Grace" star Sean Hayes, will get an eight-episode run -- with Hayes serving as EP.



“We are proud to be in business with Sean Hayes, who creatively brings so many good ideas such as this new game show romp that will be raucous and entertaining,” said NBC Entertainment president of alternative and late night programming, Paul Telegdy.

“Our audience will feel as if they are part of the party as we pull back the curtain on how today’s Hollywood stars play at home while our contestants can earn big money.”



The series follows two contestants in each episode who are chosen to partake in a casual game night with celebrities making up the rest of the crowd. One of the two will take home a cash-prize.

Though no talent was announced at the time of the pick-up, a statement from the network touted "well-known names from the world of television, film, sports and politics, among other entities."

now this question might not be related, and let's be honest it's really kind of a dink but if this british import ever comes back to the US someday, do you guys think that Ms. Lynch might be a good host of...The Weakest Link?

not trying to argue here but I already reported the Jane Lynch hosting the show thing (seen above post for details) but anyway with all the names of these celebrities it's sounds like it's going to be a pantomime/charades type show to me but what do you think about it JamesG?

i like cheesy game shows, i will check this out if it actually happens - it couldn't be worse than anything else NBC puts out
