Last new thread for awhile, I promise.

All of us probably have some little story related to the show that really isn't enough to warrant a whole thread of its own, but might be fun to share.

Mine:

My mom was in love with Bubba, especially his fanny. Anyways, her best friend sent her a postcard with two rodeo cowboys in chaps on it. I think it read "Love those buns!"

Bubba's butt became the running gag around the house. Eventually the gag traveled to Ohio, where my grandmother, who liked to be tipsy more often than not, once announced loudly when a Heat re-run was playing, "Who doesn't like Bubba... everybody likes Bubba... look at the a#@ on that man! Ya just wanna' smack it and go wooooooo weeeeeeee!"

I was young... and mortified... and secretly thinking she was totally right. :lol:

I used to have a friend that had a big crush on Alan Autry. She said that her son met him in a mall one time and had him talk to her on the phone.

I was on vacation with my family one time during the early 90's. I can't remember where exactly we were (somewhere southeast). We were in this store that had a pair of pants for sale that had once been worn by Carroll O'Connor. They were $50.

Are there any bloopers of the show?

I just visited Covington GA where Heat was filmed. It was so cool to see all the sights in person that I see everyday when I watch the reruns. But I was so disappointed that the town did not have a souvenir shop.
