What was the best chance the castaways had that Gilligan screwed up?

I think the Jetpack episode was the worst. But here is one that he didn't screw up, it was the Skipper that was responsible for this one. Ship Ahoax. In every episode that Gilligan botched a rescue, the skipper couldn't stop him in time, but in this one, if the Skipper had left him alone and let him finish what he was doing,, they would have been rescued by a beautiful ocean liner.

The tapping into the telephone cable comes to mind -- there was a lost chance of real activity in the island's area, if the repair had remained necessary.

Also, in 'Splashdown', the Professor was the one who kicked the S in 'SOS' back out of place so that it read 'SOL' and confused the astronauts.

I would say the "Jail" episode because the pilots in the plane were actually looking for them.....
