Let me explain this. Watching SBTB for as long as I have, I had noticed a couple of things. I noticed that some scenes have been edited out from syndication and cable broadcasts. Here are a few:

1) I saw this on youtube so thats how I know, but SBTB with the ones with Miss Bliss had a different opening. Not the one you've heard throughout the shows run but a totally different one thats never been seen on syndication and cable.

2) Everybody knows the song for SBTB but there are 2 different openings. Theres a one that everybody knows but there was a rarely seen opening with the same music only different pictures of the cast.

3) The episode where Zack and Kelly break up, you may remember about how Mr. Belding wanted to sing a song with the band. I remember vaguely a scene with him actually singing with Zack's band.

4) The Senior Prom episode Screech asked a girl out for the prom. She turns him down quite rudely and Lisa actually came to Screech's aid and gave that girl a tongue lashing. All you ever see is him asking her out and she rejecting him not Lisa's rebuttal.

5) "The Fabolous Belding Boys" I think there was more dialogue between Zack, Slater and Mr. Belding including showing what was on the back of Zack and Slater's shirts. Never saw it because some of the dialogue was edited out.

Do you guys remember any of this? Was I dreaming this or did this happen? I could have sworn these things happen. Anybody remember this?

I know you're right on points 1, 2 and 5. I'm pretty sure point 4 is true too but I'm not positive on point 3. Unfortunately, Lionsgate's DVD releases had some edited episodes on them, so you'd have to have the original airings taped to compare.
As to the different opening theme songs though, the official DVD releases do include the different Saved By the Bell openings for the different seasons- there are actually at least 3 different opening theme song montages that use the same classic song- and one other that has the theme song but it's performed by someone other than the usual singer. All of these intros are included for different episodes on the DVD sets.
And for the Good Morning, Miss Bliss episodes- yes, there is a totally different intro than the one that was used for syndicated reruns that retrofits the show into the SBTB format. The original opening had a nice song called "The Best of Times"- definitely a great, classic 1980s opening. I still like that opening as much as the much more fast-paced SBTB opening. Of course, I grew up watching the original run of GMMB and I remember when I first saw some of the same characters show up on this show called "Saved By the Bell" and being confused as to why the name of the show was different.;)

One thing that I noticed about the season five DVD was that one of my most favorite parts is not shown during the episode when the kids become the teachers for a week. For some unknown reason, we don't get to see Lisa tell Screech that it looked like his student body died a year ago when he said that it would be a shame if he didn't share his bodily secrets with the student body by becoming one of the gym teachers. :( :( :(

God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

Sorry for the delay but thanks for replying. I dont know why there edited on DVD. I dont know why there edited in syndication. It seems like they do that with all shows.

That's because the Miss Bliss episodes aren't actually SbtB. It was a completely different show that had many of the same characters brought over from it to SbtB, which has led many people to confusion. On TBS they try to disguise the show as "Saved by the Bell: The Jr. High Years", but in reality the show is called "Good Morning, Miss Bliss."

And actually it has been seen on cable, a LONG time ago. The original, proper intro you saw on YouTube aired on the Disney Channel during the shows original run back in 1988.

The reason for that is simple: it's done to fit in more commercial time! It's all about the money. It's sad and a butchering of many classic shows, but at least DVDs came along and fixed this problem for most shows.
