AMC is looking to give its upcoming Thursday night unscripted block a push from the dead.

The cable network will air early episodes of ratings juggernaut "The Walking Dead" in black and white starting Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m. with the first two episodes of the zombie drama.

The 90-minute premiere and hour-long subsequent episode will lead into the second season premiere of Kevin Smith's docuseries "Comic Book Men" at 9 p.m., the debut of Venice Beach Boardwalk entry "Freakshow" at 9:30 p.m., followed at 10 p.m. by Taxidermy competition series "Immortalized".

While "The Walking Dead's" series premiere has been broadcast in black and white before, subsequent episodes will run for the first time in the format -- which mirrors the design of Robert Kirkman's Image Comics series on which the drama is based.
