Once again, the boards are extremely slow! As you can see, I have long ago, run out of things to say about this fine show! And with no one responding to anything, it seems as if I am really beating a dead horse! However, one thing that I hate to do is give up. In addition to this page of the site, there is virtually no action on any of pages that I frequent. In the recent past, I have started two threads on the "Mad About You" page. It is par for the course that no one has replied to either one! Now I am making one more attempt on this page! I noticed that my most recent thread on this page has seventy-one views and zero replies. I would like to commemorate this event by mentioning that, in 1971, "All in the Family" made its debut. Is anyone here a fan of that series? I liked it a lot! That is why I am very happy that most if not all of the episode have been uploaded onto You Tube. Some of them multiple times! One thing that I would say that "All in the Family" had in common with "Gimme a Break!" is that they were both quite heavy handed in terms of such things as racism, sexism and ageism. They also made quite an effort to mix drama with comedy. However they were a little bit different in "All in the Family" had a little bit more seriousness mixed in with the silliness. What do you guys think of these observations?
