An update on Tina's appearance on What Not To Wear.

Even though one site that lists episodes indeed had Tina's ep pegged for tonight (Feb. 14), I think it's actually going to be on Thursday night, Feb. 28, at 10 p.m. on TLC.

I'll know for sure next week, and will keep you posted.

I fondly recall Family Ties, and I can tell you that What Not To Wear is a great show, so you're going to want to tune in!

Tina Yothers is getting a makeover, courtesy of "What Not To Wear" this week. The former child actress, best known as Jennifer Keaton on "Family Ties," will get the full treatment from TLC style gurus Stacy London and Clinton Kelly on the Thurs., Feb. 28 episode. HuffPost TV has the first look (above) at Yothers talking about how her adordable style went to such dark extremes. Literally.

When Yothers' husband went through her closet, he showed Stacy and Clinton that every she wears is black, from her hair to her t-shirts to her flip flops. "Everyone knows I wear black," Yothers told Stacy and Clinton in the clip above. "I've done the black thing for a very long time, even back on 'Family Ties.' Michael J. Fox used to call me Johnny Cash."

Yothers also said that she was only 8-years-old when she started on "Family Ties." "I was going through what a lot of girls go through on national television," Yothers explained. "I always reached out to the average girl. I always reached out to the girl with acne and the little chunkier girl 'cause I wasn't the stick figure, pretty pin-up. I never had a centerforld in Teen Beat."

Will Stacy and Clinton be able to pull Yothers out of her dark days? Tune in to "What Not To Wear" on Thursday, February 28 at 10 p.m. EST on TLC to find out.

By the way, for those not familiar with What Not To Wear, please don't immediately judge Stacy and Clinton for any comments they make in the early part of the show, especially when they take Tina into the 360 mirror to show some of her old outfits. If there's a snarky remark or two, they're just trying to get across to the person why the clothes don't work, why they've been nominated. This is TV, and there has to be an entertainment factor!

If you hang with it, you will marvel at the wonderful work Stacy and Clinton do, which happens EVERY week, and has occurred for hundreds of participants. The tips they give while shopping and the encouragment they offer ... incredible! And I'm SURE Tina is going to look great! Whoot!

Didn't Tina turn out great?

She actually didn't have as much of a problem dressing her body as many other contributors have had...a LOT of the stuff she was trying on looked awesome! She just needed to get away from solid blacks and teals and get some color and patterns into her wardrobe.

I didn't know she had gone to jet black hair, but I thought it looked great and was glad the hairdresser only tinkered with the style. And she had a great attitude throughout.
