It sounds cliche', but Candace Cameron said recently that people will come up to her and tell her how D.J. was a good role model, and that time she threatened to tell on Stephanie if she went joy riding with those two morons and her friend, was a good thing, but really I remember her most for having her head stuck up Steve's a$$ and generally only thinking of herself and the world revolved around her - remember when she forgot to pick Michelle up?

Thoughts?

Good
kept Stephanie from joyriding
Helped Kimmy when she was drunk at that party
Called Danny for help after the kid she was babysitting head got stuck in between the bannister of the stairs.
Was able to spring out Danny and Joey from Jail without scaring her sisters
Never had sex with Steve and stayed a virgin all through High School
Did not do drugs or drank alcohol
Stopped kimmy from eloping in Vegas to Dwayne

Bad
Didn't call home
Didn't pick up Michelle
Faked illness
Obsessed with boyfriend
Forgot her best friend's birthday
Snuck in Michelle and Stephanie into a movie on a date with Steve even, when they weren't even allowed out of the house
Put the principal's car on the roof
She taught everyone how to trick your dad after you punch a hole in the wall
tried to buy a horse without Danny finding out.
lied about her failing grade on that science test when she wanted to have an after-school job.

Ha ha, that's funny! Never realized that she did so many "bad" things before!

Those things aren't really that "bad."

I think D.J. was a decent role model. She had to be as the oldest. I think she set a good example for her younger sisters. Sure she struggled with her own issues, but who doesn't? At the end of the day, she almost always was responsible and you could tell she really cared for her sisters.

I think when they say that D.J. was a good role model they mean it in the sense that she stayed out of trouble and didn't drink, do drugs, etc.
