I feel EXACTLY the same way!

No wonder Antenna TV is waiting for Sept. to unleash their Bewitched/Jeannie double whammy, as I had mentioned yesterday. Me-TV stepped in and "borrowed' them (?) in the meantime. So they will debut in Jan. after all, just on a different station. This made me think of an idea that might sound a bit far-fetched but could happen. Do you suppose there are times when the two network heads, who I understand are good friends, sit down and talk and decide to trade series, in much the same way that trades are made in sports? Something like "I'll give you Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and Batman in exchange for Gidget, The Flying Nun, and a Monkee to be named later?" I'm still confused as to how both series could show up on one network now and switch to another one later. I'm thinking that a current Antenna TV series or two might be heading the other way come next fall but that's just a hunch on my part. Don't hold me to it until I'm sure but for now I'm not ruling anything out.

It's not a trade. MeTV Network has rights to both series right now since the beginning of this month, but won't start it until January. And once again I stress, Antenna TV is not starting them in September. Please stop your assumptions on that. I already told you they won't be starting in September on that network. If you think about the timeline I just told you, you can sort of figure out when it will start on ATV. Anyway, we will release all in due time and give our exclusive on how MeTV snagged rights before ATV.

Hmm, since MeTV has had the rights to Bewitched, since the beginning of December, perhaps the Sunday before Christmas, the MeTV Sunday Showcase will be another Christmas theme, similiar to what they showed the Sunday after Thanksgiving, but including the Bewitched Christmas episodes this time. (I can hope!)

Won't be on that Sunday for sure because they have animated classics in that Showcase I believe. They have a holiday episode stunt on Dec. 24-25 that we will release soon. And if they have any plans for New Year's Eve/Day (we don't know yet), Bewitched could be in that.

I keep hoping maybe they could get rights to Family Ties (CBS) and Newhart (20th) since they have big deals with those studios as it is. The addition of Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie is nice.

I wish they would've brought Taxi back instead of The Odd Couple. I'll go ahead and be the one to say it...MTM, Bob Newhart, and Dick Van Dyke are tired in primetime. With all of the other shows they have access to, it'd be nice to see something else.

I'd give this schedule a 6 out of 10....they have a lot of good shows. It's too bad they don't show more sitcoms in the afternoon/evening. I like Antenna TV's double episodes more also, fewer shows but we get to see more of them.

Before the Christmas movies began, Cheers did air on Hallmark from 1-2AM central time. Hopefully it will return in January. Pavan posted the other day that he would post/blog the new Hallmark schedule soon.
Hallmark will have The Brady Bunch in January, also. I don't know why ME relegates it to weekends, but then again, it does come on INSP during the week for an hour.

We also have Antenna TV's January schedule and hope to release that in the coming weeks as well. No set date yet for release.

Not that good of a schedule. Same boring dramas during the day and nothing good on Saturdays. I can't even see Bewitched and Jeannie because my affiliate shows stupid MyNetworkTV at that time. And I'm not happy that they only show Get Smart at such a bad time when I'm sleeping. I wish they would put it on more and at a better time. I'll still be watching Lucy some on Sundays if I'm not doing anything else at that time, but that's about it.

FANTASTIC schedule!!!! Won't miss Cheers all that much, mainly because it's on a bunch of channels anyway. And Bewitched and Jeannie!!! Awesome.

What's back: The Odd Couple, Wagon Train, Honey West
What's gone: The Honeymooners, Remington Steele, Cheers, Branded, The Guns of Will Sonnett, 12 O'Clock High

Hate to be a nitpick, but 12 O'Clock High will still be on the schedule weekdays, and Wagon Train is actually brand new to Me-TV.

Actually, Bob Newhart, Mary Tyler Moore, M*A*S*H, The Brady Bunch, and The Odd Couple are all 70s sitcoms. Hawaii Five-O, Kojak, Columbo, The Rockford Files, and Emergency! are from the 70s also.
I'd like to see some more 70s and even 80s (as I mentioned on the last page, it'd be nice to see Newhart from 20th and Family Ties from CBS on the lineup, as well as Taxi again). I consider much of the 80s to be classic TV now (I know I'm probably hugely outspoken here, but 1980 was 32 years ago, so I definitely think good shows from that era are classic). The "original" Me-TV in Chicago aired some good 80s sitcoms right alongside good 50s sitcoms.

I hate they don't air Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley anymore. I guess they have so many shows that it's impossible to air them all at once. Oh well. I guess my gripe is that they don't freshen up the shows they have enough and keep adding more. I wish they'd make 2am-6am sitcoms.

But I think it's been the same all year:lol: I thought station changed when the season changed. Their 8pm to 10pm schedule is the same way it was in 2011 LOL

That's not necessarily true. They have always tweaked or shaken up the primetime schedule with every seasonal change. Yes, they have kept a select few sitcoms always in primetime since day 1 (mainly The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show & The Dick Van Dyke Show) but they are shifted around fairly often - A LOT more mixing up than AntennaTV or RTV has ever done. I'm guessing these shows are pretty successful for them, otherwise they wouldn't have kept these few in primetime for so long. And really, who could blame them for sticking with those particular shows? They are some of the most acclaimed & respected sitcoms of all time.

Overall I like this schedule change better than the last couple. When they decided to plop Remington Steele into the 8-9 slot for the fall schedule, it was really out of place with the rest of primetime. I find it very telling that 3 months later it seems to have gone from their top promoted show to being completely off the schedule. Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie are a much better fit, not to mention historically pretty good for ratings. I imagine MeTV hanging on to them as long as they can.

Sad to see Cheers go but it's currently airing on no less than 3 other channels (albeit in edited form that not worth the time to a person who owns the DVDs). So I'm finding it pretty difficult to argue with the few changes they've made.

I would watch more of ME-TV but some of there lineup doesnt interest me. Also, the fact that they have paid programming on from 10pm to 2am and I think 6am to 9am doesnt help either. On the bright side, or at least a bright side for me is that at 11pm on ME-TV on Friday Nights, they show NWA on Fire Pro Wrestling. Hell, I watch more ME-TV based on that show then I do on a regular basis.

Another show that's now airing is Sergeant Preston of the Yukon ('50s, color) on Saturday mornings (along with Westerns like Lone Ranger and The Rebel). If you're interested in dramas and such, Me really has some pretty good stuff, including Night Gallery, original Hawaii Five-O, Route 66, The Fugitive, Rockford Files, and Emergency. Not all of these may make it into 2013, so enjoy them when/if you can.

Apparently some affiliates differ as far as when they air E/I programs -- my local Me is heavy on that stuff on Sundays (rather than those 3 hours that apparently pop up on Sat. mornings elsewhere).

Finally, most of what Me offers tends to return eventually. It just takes time. If you're not finding your interests, don't forget to also check out My Network TV if you can catch it in your area. I get to see stuff like Perry Mason, That '70s Show, and Coach on there.

Hi. Just joined the forum. We just got MeTV here in Spokane last Sept. which replaced "My Network TV" the shows are great, the only problem here is the scheduling where they have only the sitcoms in primetime and the other shows like "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" "Get Smart", "Route 66" Night Gallery etc. all on after midnite. We already have enough sitcoms with the new shows which I've been hoping to get away from. They also have M+A+S+H which we've had here from '72-'2010. Since "Perry Mason" has been playing here for the last 10 years and is still on another local TV station they did replace that with the "Mod Squad". They have the "Green Hornet" on here Saturday mornings at 6am (too early), which I would also like to see moved to primetime with their other SCI-FI shows on the weekend.

You should be getting 2 episodes of Get Smart on Saturday evenings currently. Anyway, I agree that a lot of the best stuff airs when fewer people have a chance to watch. Glad you're here -- post early and post often...! Unofficial welcome.

You should be getting 2 episodes of Get Smart on Saturday evenings currently. Anyway, I agree that a lot of the best stuff airs when fewer people have a chance to watch. Glad you're here -- post early and post often...! Unofficial welcome.

Hi. Thanks for the welcome, and that you also agree about the scheduling of the programs.

Obviously this is not official, but I came across 5 pages on the "Me-TV" website that sure seems to indicate 5 new shows:

"Gilligan's Island" : Monday - Thursday at 8 & 8:30 PM
http://metvnetwork.com/programs.php?showID=98

"F Troop" : Monday - Thursday at 9:30 PM
http://metvnetwork.com/programs.php?showID=99

"Wanted: Dead or Alive" : Weekdays at 5 AM, Saturdays at 4 & 4:30 PM
http://metvnetwork.com/programs.php?showID=100

"The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" : Weekdays at 2 AM, Sundays at 11 PM
http://metvnetwork.com/programs.php?showID=101

"The Love Boat" : Sundays at 2 PM
http://metvnetwork.com/programs.php?showID=102

I'm guessing the rest of the line-up will be made up of current shows (some at new times) and some returning shows. Also, if this is accurate, it appears that Friday Prime Time may be different from the Monday thru Thursday Prime Time. I guess we"ll find out soon enough!

Out of that list i would watch Gilligan's Island depending on the schedule

If those 5 shows are the ones they are adding,I think they are good additions to their line-up.It would also be nice to see few more less known older shows, but hey METV has continued to be a very good channel.Between Antenna and MeTV if I had to pick a favorite I'd lean towards METV because everything they show is classic.Antenna TV are also very good but sometimes they air stuff like The Nanny etc. which does not belong on a classic TV channel.

If its true, I'd maybe watch the Love Boat. The Alfred Hitchock Hour scares me. Dont really see myself watching anything else out of those five but will see what the new schedule brings.

I'm not sure but I think the Me-Tv fall schedule might include at least one of the shows on this list, which are listed as Coming Soon. Care to guess which one will show up, if any?

Coming soon to Me-TV (http://www.metvnetwork.com/memorable.php)

I'm just glad that they're keeping THE FUGITIVE and they'll still be showing it Sunday at midnight which is the perfect time slot for it.

I wish they'd bring back GREEN ACRES though.
