View Full Version : Ok Good Times Fans, state your most disappointing James Evans moment
TVFactFan 12-06-2012, 06:09 PM The most disappointing moment for me is when he decided not to go to the interview and missed out on a possible job because he felt it would be another rejection. And the fact that he was a family man made it even worst and was definitely a low moment for my man J-Dawg:lol:

When he didn't punch Mad Dog in the throat for shooting J.J.

Well he wanted to but his mom was able to take over and smack him in the throat-lol
comedyfreak 12-07-2012, 09:56 AM I don't have one, I've always admired the character.
*ROGER* 12-07-2012, 08:57 PM I though James behaved like a real loser and a cry baby when he decided not to show up for his job interview. And I was also really annoyed with him when he started to feel sorry for the thug (Mad Dog) who shot his son. That was also a loser moment for James.

I think it was because Mad Dog's Mom told him......."I don't love you anymore" followed by a smack:lol:

It didn't make me feel sorry for Mad Dog. It made me feel bad for his mom. It must have been very painful for her to say that to her son and she was fed up. Who could blame her? Mad Dog should be ashamed at his self for how disrespectful he is to his own mother.

I felt sorry for MadDog because she basically slapped him for talking about his NO GOOD FATHER who walked out on them when he was a baby. Why try to defend somebody wh didn't deserve to be defended. He's the biggest reason why MadDog is the way he is, but you say "I Hate You" and "I Wish You Were Never Born" and than slap him over some bum father who's the real cause of all this! The kid never had a chance unlike J.J. and Michael who had a strong father figure!
*ROGER* 12-09-2012, 01:52 AM ^ If Mad Dog's bullet had killed JJ, how sorry would you feel for this lost cause of a punk kid?

I just realized that Mad's Dog getting slapped by his mom didn't cause james to feel sorry for him,
It was Mad Dog crying....."You want to hit me too, come on man hit me"
LOL LOL
So I think James still had planned to kick his A$$ until Mad Dog broke down

You know something....you're probably right.
I never would have felt sorry for Mad Dog, but I also wouldn't have hit him either at that point. Now that I think about it, James made the right decision in that regard, however I do think he was wrong for eventually feeling sorry for him. I still think the kid was a lost cause punk, attempted murderer. But I wouldn't have hit him at the court house.
The person I felt most sorry for in that situation was JJ. He was the shooting victim and he could have died.

I hate the fact that he was always so angry. I know living in the projects can do that to a person, especially when you have to support 5 people. But he wasn't a nice person very much. And I hated when Florida wanted to get her high schol diploma and he was so mad about it at first and told her no. I know he did give in at the end and decided to get his diploma but where does he get off telling her no, he doesn't own her.

I think it made him feel more like a failure once she wanted to further her education. So he figured that once she accomplished that she would want to get a job and maybe another degree and that would have made him feel like less than a man.

I think IreneParalegal would agree with me when I say: The disappointing moment was when James DIDN'T GO TO ALASKA!
Another one was when James blabbed about taking $2000 of the stolen Borgen's Market money and was made to give it back when Florida guilted him by making the kids do immoral things.

Strange scene from the Alaska ep
James: "Florida if I take this job we will start living good"
Florida: "James I don't wanna live good I wanna live with you"

TVFactFan 07-22-2013, 08:19 PM plus florida stayed nagging him
Then Florida asked the dumb question........"do we live that bad that you have to take a job out of town?"

No he didn't go because of Michael possibly becoming involved in gang actvities
Wawwie 08-26-2013, 07:39 PM No he didn't go because of Michael possibly becoming involved in gang actvities
Couldn't he have brought Michael with him? All the more reason to go to Alaska. Michael wouldn't be mixed up in any gang activity out in Alaska.

He couldn't take Michael and leave the others
