The former wife of Elvis Presley says "The Simpsons" is bad for kids. "It's not good for people's moral compass," she says. "It's OK for adults as we can put it all together but it's not good for kids and I think we need to bring back something more family orientated like 'Leave It To Beaver' that I used to watch when I was growing up."

I agree that some of the humor on The Simpsons is inappropriate, but it appears that Mrs. Presley has never heard of Family Guy or South Park. Those two shows almost make The Simpsons look like Leave It To Beaver in comparison.

i think that there is way worse stuff on that the kids are watching today; the Simpsons is very tame compared to Family Guy or practically anything else in Primetime, and at least it tries to send a positive message

My only encounter with The Simpsons was watching a film at a friend's house several years ago where I was forced to endure a vulgar scene of an animated youth skateboarding across town making explicit references to his genitalia. I salute Priscilla Presley in her condemnation of such an unsuitable and obnoxious programme,even though I disagree with her advocation of the Church of Scientology cult.

Sometimes The Simpsons gets a little crude but its not like South Park and Family Guy. I dont even watch those 2 shows but I know that they are raunchy.

I think to say "Ban The Simpsons" is a bit much. She was in Dallas which isnt too raunchy but still. Same goes for The Naked Gun. She was in 3 of those movies and those movies were not exactly "Gone with the Wind."

Talentless moron has-been who only married a legend to become famous. Exactly why should I care what she thinks? Besides, there are worse shows than the Simpsons, like the Bachelor or the other sleazy reality shows.

After what maria did she's not exactly in a poistion to talk about being a good parent!
