Do you think season 4 will be in mainstream stores like Target and Barnes & Noble or will we have to order it from either Shout Factory or Amazon? I'd like to be able to just go to my local Target or B&N on Dec. 11 and buy it off the shelf!

I never saw S2 or S3 in any big retailers like Walmart, etc.; only in the small record chain in the mall that always has MPI and Shout releases on their street date, so I got mine there. I plan on getting S4 as well as the upcoming Donna Reed and Here's Lucy sets there.

I couldn't wait, I preordered from amazon, and can't wait for it to come in. I have seen some of the old sitcoms dvds at some out of the way places, like my local Cracker Barrell.

Cracker Barrel carries TV shows on DVD? I'm sure they would be public domain episodes of old sit-coms.

Target and Walmart did not carry seasons 2 & 3 of Hazel, so I highly doubt they'll have season 4. Barnes & Noble likely WILL have it. They stock all most everything, thats available retail.

By the way, this is not a Shout! select item!

The Cracker Barrel where I live also has old TV shows on DVD, they are official DVD's from the studios, not public domain. They have a limited selection of sitcoms, westerns, some cartoons also. I saw season 1 of Hazel for sale at Cracker Barrel, but no other seasons. They seem to mainly stock 1st seasons of selected shows.

The Cracker Barrel in my area had the season 1 DVD of Flipper for sale, I went ahead and bought that but it is the only DVD I have bought there so far. Some other DVD's I saw they had for sale was season 1 of Gomer Pyle and Petticoat Junction. They also have a selection of music CD's, mostly country & western music for those who like that sort of stuff. They also have a pretty large selection of retro candies. I enjoy going there but their food to go service isn't very good, service is better when eating at the restaurant. Either they don't like taking food to go orders or they're not properly organized to handle them.

I plan to order Hazel season 4 on ebay next week and keep my fingers crossed that all the episodes will be complete this time, unlike season 3 where they snuck in two edited episodes.

OH Nuts!

I hope for all you Hazel fans, this, and the balance of seasons will roll out UNEDITED. Yes, I know how annoying it is when you can spot an ep that's edited; because you know there is more but was cut. I'm really into The Adv. of Ozzie and Harriet, and I have two versions of an ep called "Bedtime Story" - the cut one had a very funny line missing. Grr indeed.

Back O/T, I enjoy Hazel too but am fortunate to have access to the eps from Antenna TV. These might be edited but are good enough for me, as I like the show but am not an out-and-collector of it like I am with O&H. But when you do avidly collect, cut eps really can bite it.

The Cracker Barrel where I live has a good selection of first season DVDs. I have seen Gomer Pyle, Barnaby Jones, Police Woman, Mary Tyler Moore, Leave it To Beaver and others. Often they are on sale, or a buy one get one half price deal
