I read an old message on this site by Videowack and on imdb.com that says that Jack Philbin was believed to still be alive at 101 years old.

But peoplesmart.com claims that a Jack Philbin that lives in the Miami (either in Hialeah or Miami) area died in 1997 at 86. They also said that he had a wife named Gloria S. Philbin.

I realize that few people live to be 101 but I am wondering which is correct.

Also, TV Knowledge Fan wrote this years ago:

"I believe that Gleason's partner [and Executive Producer] JackPhilbin still controls the rights to all of Gleason's kinescopes and videotapes, and continues to store them in that Florida vault...."

I wonder if the Philbin family still has them. Hmmmm....
